Some cool old buildings there, but I found your composition a bit static and uninteresting this time. For example, all the main subjects were center frame. I like to try some more unusual framing to get a greater level of interest. Don't take this as a harsh criticism; it's just an observation of a fellow photographer.
Fair comment. I’ve found that photographing people, especially groups at a demonstration or event, presents opportunities for more dynamic framing, which does make for more interesting compositions. Buildings, especially if they have a symmetrical facade, encourage a formal, centred composition. It requires some effort to create something more active. It’s something I’ll think about. I appreciate the helpful feedback, Owen.
Lovely. My only comment is that I would have gone to the right in my framing just enough to get the whole car, it is like I am missing something! But a lovely shot regardless.
Thanks, Søren. I would have preferred to get the whole car in the frame. I think there was another car blocking it, though. I thought part of the car, and a bit of that nice blue colour, was better than no car.
Enjoyed this story and pictures. Looks like the only car in town is an old Hillman or similar. Similar vintage to the butcher shop perhaps? 😀
I just had to get that cute little blue Hillman in the frame. Thanks, David.
Haha! 78c, the butcher shop beside the barber, immediately made me think of Sweeney Todd...surely not?!
Ha! You never know.

As always, for those of us that do not stage, you take what you can get. Good for you!
