your reflection on photography is beautiful, and simply stated. thank you for sharing your insight. i feel like people too often overlook the everyday moments that are mundane, magical even. this was a very inspiring post to read 🙏🏼
When I was studying architecture, we spent a term in Rome. I remember being very impressed by the baroque masterpieces in and around the public squares. But the back streets were also very interesting. That's where everyday life is lived.
Thanks for turning me on to Garbage notes and the excellent poem about boredom. Yours was equally thought provoking, particularly the insight into the dual meaning of pedestrian. A gem of a post!
The flowers in the window caught my attention as I walked by that tidy house (with a very tidy garden). I could identify with that wonky cypress tree.
I enjoyed both the words and photos, and your reflections on photography.
Thanks, Adam.

That's very kind of you, Caitlin. Like people, normal everyday scenes can be pretty impressive.
Lifting the lid on the ordinary! Thanks.

Love the line “ If a picture looks too good to be true, it’s probably an ad for Photoshop or promtography.”
Like Deborah, the flowers in the window and the telegraph pole with the cypress trees are my two favourites.
