The day I photograph a Harley-Davidson with streamers is they day I will start feeling more optimistic about the future of mankind. Also humankind. Especially if it's an electric Harley and the streamers are made from 100% recycled materials.
I think your response to the photo was similar to my response to seeing the streamers on that pink motorised scooter. It reminded me of a world we were born into but we were desperate to grow out of; a world we can no longer inhabit but wish we could return to — a world where pleasures are simple things, life is a dance, and magic is everywhere.
Spring will spring back soon enough. Believe it or not, I actually miss the look of snow. I don't miss shovelling it or driving in it. But I do love the way it simplifies a landscape.
Thanks, Timothy. I totally agree with your recent post about taking a field trip. I hope to take more short trips near where I live in search of interesting stories. I think your inclusion of a voiceover and a video to accompany the text and photos is really effective.
I think that's what made me smile. Someone has decided not to grow up. I applaud the owner of that scooter.
Love the scooter! Wheeeeeeee. (and the flowers)
That's the spirit.

The flower makes me want to come back in spring! 🌸
